Realism

I thought they would make it alittle more real. Instead we got people jumping around to avoid getting shot, campers galore, people running and guning with perfect accuracy and shotguns that can one shot kill you from 50 yards out with pellets. People can jump off building and shoot you in the back, or using parachutes with dead on accuracy. You try sniping but just as you look through your scope 50 people are shooting at you without scopes. It just seems like they took all the strategy or realistic combat out of the game.

  • There are plenty of other games that aim for realism, not Battlefield though.

Battlefield has never been realistic, nor strategic. It has always been a sandbox, where people find all sorts of silly ways to kill you.

Those "only in Battlefield" moments aren't ever about realism. They are about rendezooks, C4 buggies and tanks that are launched into the air as they shoot down a jet.

Perhaps that's not for you and that's fine, but you'll have a lot more fun if you find your own ways to be creative.

  • No, BF is supposed to be more realistic but not a mil Sim. Those moments are minor bugs that are usually fun to keep like defab. You got a knife to stab enemies but defabs out does them and if you throw smokes you are a medic/assassin.

TP9980 unfortunately BF is going for a COD style play so it shouldn't be on the game and im sure they'll tweak it but can't say im confident they'll fix it. Sniper glint is never going away, for a class that is supposed to be stealth but most players don't like not knowing where they got shot from so its going to stay

I just love how you can have someone dead to rights with an assault rifle, but they can jump and hop and somehow avoid getting hit but kill you

That's what tends to happen when the enemy uses movement to make themselves harder to hit, while you choose to remain mostly stationary. The enemy won because they took the initiative to fight for an advantage. Jumping is situational and it causes significant spread and sway penalties. If they despite of the penalties still managed to kill you first, then they successfully leveraged that advantage.

Many Battlefield games in the past had jump peeking, or dolphin diving or other jump related movement techniques. It's not new in Battlefield 6. If you expected a game where jumping drains your stamina bar and you're out of breath for 5 seconds, then Battlefield is not the game for you.

Brother in christ, we used to blow C4s under the tanks to make them go flying in BF3, Battlefield is definitely not a game for realism...

Also, shotguns one shot killing you from 50 yards is pretty real btw
