REPTEAD TEAM SABOTAGE - Helicopter destroyed with RPGs at Spawn

I’d like to report a recurring and extremely frustrating issue that’s been happening in multiple matches. In SEVERAL consecutive games, I witnessed teammates firing RPGs at the helicopter the moment it spawns, simply because they didn’t manage to reach it first.

This behavior highlights two major problems:

  1. There’s no spawn protection for the helicopter at the start of the round, which means it can be destroyed instantly by teammates before anyone even gets inside.
  2. There’s no proper report option for this kind of intentional sabotage, making it impossible to take action against players who do this on purpose.

This has made some matches unplayable and toxic, especially for players who enjoy flying helicopters. The start of each match has turned into a chaos of griefing instead of teamwork.

I strongly suggest that DICE/EA implement temporary spawn protection for vehicles and add a reporting category for intentional team sabotage.

This kind of behavior is ruining the experience and needs to be addressed urgently.

I agree with what you say, if it is not a spawn protection, the aerial vehicles will appear directly in the air.

I totally agree with you! This behavior is completely unacceptable and those who fire RPGs at the helicopter right after it spawns  are nothing but cowards. It’s disgraceful that there’s no spawn protection and no proper way to report this intentional sabotage. Hopefully, DICE/EA will step up and fix this soon!

Yes, that would be a proper solution as well. However, we do have maps where the match starts with everyone spawning on the ground at the same time. That’s why I believe adding a temporary 10-second protection for helicopters against RPGs at the start would work better overall.

I couldn’t find that option in-game, and let’s be honest, this doesn’t really solve the issue. It only adds more steps to an already bad experience.

Having to open the EA Help website, look up the player’s EA ID, and submit a manual report is just not practical in the middle of a game.

The solution is much simpler: just add a 10-second spawn protection for helicopters at the start of the match. That alone would completely stop this kind of sabotage.

I’m going to report him — will he actually be punished? Who can guarantee he won’t do it again? Trying to fix this without stronger measures is like covering the sun with a sieve. If someone wrecks a 64-player match, there should be a live in-game vote that lets all 32 team players decide the penalty; otherwise there’s impunity — though I know that’s probably impossible.

EA should add technical protections, for example a short invulnerability for important vehicles during the first 5-10 seconds, only in the beginning of the match. That brief protection window would prevent most griefing without harming gameplay.

I've experienced this too. However, I think the better solution is to spawn in the air. Spawning any vehicles on the ground makes them very vulnerable to spawn camping, especially with these tiny maps we have now. Enemy aircraft can fly over their opponents' spawn and attack unoccupied or newly occupied vehicles. If a pilot sees a newly spawned heli or jet on the ground, why not soften it up a bit before you have to face it in the air? This just opens up way too many opportunities for bad behavior.  Spawning in the air was not broken. I don't know why Dice had to "fix" it.
