Request for Clarification: Is Lossless Scaling Safe to Use with EA AntiCheat?

I wanted to ask for an official clarification regarding the use of a third-party program called Lossless Scaling in Battlefield 6 (and other EA titles).

Lossless Scaling is a legitimate Steam app that enhances performance by improving frame pacing, upscaling, and even providing frame generation options. It doesn’t modify the game files directly — it works by adjusting how the image is displayed on the screen.

I’ve contacted EA Help multiple times to confirm whether this tool is safe to use with EA AntiCheat, but each response I’ve received so far has been very general, only saying that EA “doesn’t recommend third-party software that may affect gameplay.” None of the agents could confirm if Lossless Scaling specifically falls under that category or if it has ever caused false bans or detections.

I completely understand the need to protect the integrity of multiplayer games, but I think it would be helpful for players if EA could provide an official stance or add this information to the EA AntiCheat documentation.

So my questions are:

Has Lossless Scaling been officially tested or cleared for use with Battlefield 6?

Can it safely be used for improving frame generation or upscaling without triggering EA AntiCheat?

If it’s not approved, could the team consider reviewing it since it’s widely used and available on Steam?
