Getting rid of jets would be fine. I think helos could be balanced if the helos were only a single attack helo type and were built mainly for anti-tank work and there was a good anti-air vehicle (unlike the awful AA tanks that were in 2042 & BF6) so you had a counter-counter-counter system. And actually required team-work. I used to be a long long time ago in BF2 the helo gunner, and that needed actual team-work because you had the gun and the anti-tank TOW missile. Unlike now where you have Little Birds wrecking entire servers on their own.
It could be something like Battlefield Bad Company 2.. but with balance. Unfortunately BC2 had horrible balance because once again, there were zero anti-air weapons worth using. Since there were no jets the devs decided to remove stingers, and all you had were dumbfire rockets. The devs expected you to waste your handgun slot to use a tracer gun, hit a helo somehow and then because they would just smoke the dart, hit it twice. And then fire the launcher. The AA vehicle was awful, it was like BF6's static guns but somehow worse.
They also should force non-transport helos to have to land and repair. No auto repairs, no hovering reloads. You have to land at a helo pad and only then can you get a slow repair & slow rearm. Flares should be limited.
And of course, below radar removed. There's no reason it needs to exist. Should infantry players get something like "below tank" where if they're 10 meters close to a tank it can't hurt them? Or "below sniper" where an infantry soldier too close to a recon can't be hurt? Or "below engineer" where a tank can get close to an engineer and it can't be hurt by rockets? Of course not. But helos have it for no apparent reason even though they don't need it.
Below the radar is there because there are tons of lockons. Below the radar is there so one at least can take a little cover. Below the radar is there to take choke away exactly cause of if 32 players would take shoulder lockon, you wouldn't get spammed by low skill based weapon. After all there is one flare that lasts for 3 seconds only, gives at least some chance to get behind cover.
2042 had decent AA, it was bad only cause of lack of skill. MAV even had insane damage against aircrafts. Only thing 2042 had were long flares that reduced a lot lockons, but they shoulder lockons didnt have under the radar limitation tho.
You just hate air since they day i've been in this forums, yet you haven't even tried air play in any of battlefields. I dare you to try in this, you won't live more than 15 seconds right after when you get out of main spawn, go see how wild it is.
In 6 you don't see 100:0. Yes there might be 100:5. But this is only due to lack of skill in enemy team - simply put: Enemy allows flying, no resistance. Time to move on, in bf6 piloting is nothing near to previous bfs in terms of survival, there is alway something putting you down. JETS can be excluded a little, but getting 100 kills with jet is SUPER rare in 6. Like you would see maybe once a year someone doing that.

Be a better pilot and you get "below radar" with skill. Or you fly in the air using your speed to decide where to attack or not to attack. Liberation Peak for example you don't need "below radar" because any intelligent pilot is hiding behind the mountains, coming over, attacking and then running away while the magic flares ensure nothing will ever hit them.
2042 had awful AA. The AA tank sucked, the anti-air weapons were constantly nerfed and the Liz missile was made useless.
I've already told you I've been on the other end of 150-0 helos getting those kills because I was a helo gunner in clan games in older battlefield games. I've used all the vehicles in BF3, BF4, 2042 & BF6 and the air vehicles are still overpowered.
Flares do not "only last 3 seconds". That is a pure lie.

Too low to lockon mechanic is stupid, sorry, not sorry. Learn to use the terrain for cover.

Learn to use terrain for cover? You've seen how lockons fly and avoid objects? It's more like learn to fly and deal with enemy.

i have seen a few times 100-0 but even thin if your ground its tuff air has nothing to worry on i shot many rps even close at air an hit 2 times not not a fair when i easily die 10 times to a helo depending on map and have no way to fight back. it right now at the point of why play. i like vehicles in battlefield but this is crazy. just because your in a helio it should not be any easier thin if your on the ground as it is now most can flare off every anti air shot and 80% just to to low to hit and the can dodge most rpgs. the eng class even have to drop x amount of hellos for an event i know tons stuck because they cant hit one at all. i watched a jet with no pilot our run an anti air rocket out of range for it the pilot jump out a little after the shot

Funny thing, so far i have not seen anyone reaching 100 kills in conquest firestorm and mirak valley in my games. I know some of my fellow pilots reach close to 100 and some deaths and AC pilot+gunner that are VERY HIGH skilled might get even 200. Always there is 1-5 deaths. If you see once that, you should clap for him/them, cause it is VERY HARD to get stats like that, especially when lobby hits hard back. I exclude Manhattan bridge cause its map design problem...
But listen to your self. You are relying on lockon weapon. When you can have sraw, tows/guided munition, stationariy tows and AA, rpg still viable and well, counter aircrafts, yet you are trying to pull down with lockon that one simply has counter measures for it. You want to kill? Earn it.
I find it unfair to spawn and fly 100 meters and die to random **bleep** and wait 120 seconds for new helo. You die 10 times (whichs is your choice to die so many times to aircrafts cause you have differend spawning points all over the map, which gives you chances for positioning - your gamesense drops when you get angry and want to revenge, you get sloppy, i know the feeling.) but you get 10 chances in 100 seconds.
About dodging rpgs, no they don't dodge cause aircrafts movements doesn't really allow that (slow and predictable), its you missing. Period.
