I get where you are coming from and it would be better as I only play as characters with gloves and I believe 2 of them in the 2400 bfc pack don’t have gloves so I could select 2 of them.
However, I think it is unacceptable to block these core characters behind monetization though. Could have been a seasonal event or something to work towards like other battlefield games. The amount of monetization surpasses f2p games and you already spent 70$ on the base game. Defibrillators, gadgets, parachutes have paid skins now. Not to mention dog tags (the things you worked towards in other games) are paid. Having small bundles just makes this paid stuff more insane and convoluted with the menus in the game.
