Sluggish performance, capped menus, stuttering mouse; optimization is missing

Even with a high‑end PC, the game feels sluggish, especially when playing at refresh rates above 60 FPS and using e‑sports mice that support up to 8000 Hz.

In my case, with FPS uncapped in both the menu and gameplay, the gameplay sometimes feels slower, while the menu always seems capped at 60 FPS.

Name one EA game that truly supports high refresh rates and mouse polling rates, despite having in‑game options that suggest otherwise. It seems they don’t have a proper testing team that knows how to validate these features.

Set your mouse above 1000 Hz and the game immediately begins to stutter when moving the mouse.

Set the refresh rate and uncap FPS via in‑game settings or tools like NVIDIA Control Panel or RivaTuner, and the menu still feels sluggish while in‑game FPS remains unstable.

Even with all their supposed FPS options, it feels like playing on a console. My eyes literally hurt when forced to play below 60 FPS/Hz.

We are in 2025, with powerful systems and e‑sports accessories such as monitors and mice that support high refresh and polling rates, and yet developers still fail to optimize their games, forcing them to run only at 60 FPS. Other competitive titles already support these features properly, so it’s clear this is a matter of developer priorities, not technical limitations.

I’ve said my piece. Fix your games.

  • Best way to solve these problems via the community is to go back, edit your post and give a simple description of your pc.

Sometimes it may be a video driver, mouse software ect. If enough people have the same hardware/software, sometimes the community can figure this on their own faster than waiting for the Devs.

I don't have this issue on my 2 main PC's

    Both Win 11 (running 24H2)

    i7 13700k, RTX 5070, 32gb ram, Logitech G502, (most recent GPU drivers)

    i9 9950X3D, RTX 5080, 32gb ram, Logitech G502 (most recent GPU drivers)

Both mice are running the older Logitech software (ver 9. something)

  • Found the issue regarding mouse stuttering: When moving with the WASD keys while simultaneously panning the camera with the mouse, the game exhibits noticeable stuttering and jitter in camera movement. This occurs consistently during combined keyboard and mouse input, regardless of graphics settings, polling rate adjustments, raw input toggles, or overlay status. The issue appears to be tied to how the game engine processes simultaneous HID input events.

I’ve recorded a video demonstrating the issue, which can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/-L2WdnQ_Tmw

  • I use an mchose l7 pro+  and a couple 8000mhz kb's.  cidoo c60 silent and mchose ace 68 with ice rhinos for my arthritis hands.  all cranked up lights full blast the mchose in berserk mode.     One suggestion.  I have my kb in one of the 3.2 10gbs slots that go to the cpu,   next to the ethernet plug which is separate jack.    THen I got one in one of the two 3.2 10gbs  right next to each other, which also go to the cpu.  The other 3.2 I have empty.    all the usb 2 or I think 3.1 or 3.0 the blue,  jacks go the mobo hub and  I use them for everything else.   the front case panel ones go to the chipset but I find it best to use the cpu ones.  I have a 7800x3d with no performance hit.   Can't speak for any systems below that but I can't imagine you would notice any decrease in performance.    You definitely don't want to use the hub ones,  and if the chipset ports are giving you trouble switch to the cpu ones. xhci enabled in bios.

  • I have the same issue...

Whatever workarounds that you can glean of the internet only work for one session. Restart and the laggy mouse and keyboard input is back. The worst of it is, this seems to have been an issue on 2048 and a lot of people are reporting it on BF6.

    Please address this.

Indeed, mouse movement now feels broken on the horizontal axis, almost as if it's auto-aiming toward a target.

Regardless of what I try, toggling G-Sync and V-Sync, capping or uncapping FPS, the issue persists.

It's definitely a problem on their end, as I don't experience this in other games.

  • same issue, somethimes its unplayable, looks like the mouse is totally broke !
