Strange mouse and keyboard feel and general latency in Reflex/G-Sync gameplay
I haven't played Battlefield in a little over two weeks. I played again yesterday and today, and something feels off.
At first it seemed like my sensitivity was wrong — almost like there was extra input delay or the mouse felt heavier/slower. I assumed it was just because I hadn't played in a while and had lost some muscle memory, but even after a few hours the feeling didn't go away.
Did the recent updates change anything related to input latency, mouse feel, frame pacing, Reflex, or the engine in general?
I also noticed something strange with Nvidia Reflex/G-Sync behavior.
Before:
* G-Sync ON
* V-Sync ON in Nvidia Control Panel
* Reflex + Boost ON in-game
* FPS capped automatically around 225 on my 240Hz monitor
Using the Nvidia overlay in the practice range, my average PC latency used to stay around 6-8ms. If I disabled G-Sync/Reflex and uncapped FPS, latency went up to around 10-11ms.
Now, with the exact same settings, same drivers, same OC, same hardware:
* G-Sync + Reflex enabled = 14-15ms PC latency
* Disabling them drops it back to ~10-11ms
Render latency still seems lower with G-Sync enabled, but overall PC latency is now worse than before.
Did they change something internally with Reflex, DX12, frame pacing, or input buffering in one of the recent updates? Has anyone else noticed the game feeling less responsive lately?
