The weapon variety in game is poor. Not the number of weapons per se, but there seems to very little difference in use. To me anyways, I feel little difference in using a 3 shot kill 'slow' rate of fire weapon or a 4 shot kill higher rate. In BF4 you could feel the difference in gameplay between slower rate of fire, therefore more accurate and often harder hitting and the higher rate of fire - spray and pray.
Yes, that's sort of the point with this, making some change of pace and change of playstyle with how the weapons behave and are potency-wise. Can even have impact differences, like hits from some guns that cause aim-jerking for the target hit by them
