Suppressors should have negative aspects
Pretty simple really, given the insane utility of suppressors in BF6, hiding you both in-world, and on the minimap >15m away.
I'm not asking for downsides because I think suppressors are OP (they're not). I'm asking because I want to see more build diversity on weapons, especially with the other muzzle attachments (brakes, compensators, etc) after suppressors are unlocked. But currently the tactical advantage outweighs everything else.
The two current "downsides" are really weak—suppressors cost a lot of attachment points (20-30), and they usually unlock quite far into progression. Both of which really aren't downsides. The latter only requires you to use the gun a bit longer. As to the former—only once have I found a build I liked that could not fit a suppressor along with all other kit.
Okay, ostensibly they impact hipfire ratings as well, but as hipfire accuracy is generally god-awful in this game, that's really not an impact (except maybe on SMG/PDW).

I personally think it would make sense if suppressors affected bullet velocity, or damage falloff, or possibly both, in significant ways, making them less useful long-range, open field combat, and aimed more towards CQB and interior work.
Alternatively, suppressors could lock out other attachments—maybe limit it to standard and/or subsonic ammo, and scopes with no more 3x magnification. Maybe suppressed weapons have to include fast mags (where available) due to more awkward handling. Maybe they disable ergonomics upgrades because… balance reasons?
I want small but significant changes that don't nerf suppressors and their intended role, but that help bring other attachments into focus and use.
