The biggest problem in portal?

I haven't messed with portal, but from what I have seen is that it's an exercise of cramming square pegs down round holes when trying to make a realistic map.

While I can't blame them that a map creation system isn't as fleshed out as the classic creation kit, they certainly did over-hype the tool.

If the tool worked well, they would gain player retention having to put in 0 additional work aside from creating the kit to operate well in the first place, and any updates (assets, tools etc.) which saves WAY more money then paying an entire team to generate maps that the community generally hates.
