The perspective of adding support for languages and control schemes on consoles.

Good day to all BF fans and developers from Battlefield studios.

Me, like many other players and loyal fans of the games in the Battlefield series in the territory of the former USSR (CIS) are interested in the prospects for possible implementation of the following functions.

1. First of all, the implementation of language support within the translation of the interface in the game and subtitles in the story campaign. Is there a possibility to use neural network technologies for translation before the release of the game all text in the following languages:
1.1 Russian language (taking into account the sanctions imposed against criminal Putin regime, the use of neural networks within the framework of localization will allow you to use your time and resources without involving the services of a studio in Russia, but at the same time maintaining and strengthening trust among Russian-speaking audiences around the world;

1.2. Ukrainian language (as a sign of solidarity and support for the Ukrainian people in this difficult time, plus strengthening the reputation of the EA corporation);
1.3 and at personal request - Georgian language (since i am georgian myself and according to the synopsis of the story campaign one of the episodes will take place in georgia, this will also raise the level of support among the georgian people in accordance with the bill "Megobari act".)

2. Support for control on game consoles (Playstation and Xbox) using keyboard and mouse (since this topic was ignored during the game support period Battlefield *, then at the current moment this issue should be resolved as never before). It is not only about supporting the cross-platform system of the multiplayer mode of the game, but also the ability to play comfortably in the game with high graphics quality and stable FPS for everyone who does not have the skills to play shooters on a gamepad, and does not own computers with high system requirements.

I would appreciate feedback from the forum curators from the studio itself, as well as from players and fans who are waiting for a new revival of the game series. Battlefield.

Best wishes and success in your endeavors.

  • Additionally, it is also worth joining forces with other users who are asking similar queries as those raised in this post.

     First of all, on the implementation of keyboard and mouse support on game consoles. And of course, the question of the implementation of Turkish, and Georgian languages at least at the interface and subtitles level. All concerned players and forum users, please respond and express your opinion, so as not to let it die out these topics until the release of the game itself, as well as post-release support.

  • At the moment, according to the information on the game page of the Xbox version, support for control using a keyboard and mouse will be implemented. At the moment, this issue can be removed from the agenda.

    All that remains is to convince the development team from Battlefield Studio about the mandatory implementation of languages within the translation of the interface and subtitles.

    Let me remind you that we additionally require:

    Russian, Ukrainian, + Turkish, and preferably Georgian languages.

  • ’ve been a loyal fan of the Battlefield series for over 20 years — since Battlefield 1942. Like millions of others across Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, the Baltics and beyond, I’ve spent thousands of hours enjoying this franchise.

    One of the key reasons Battlefield felt immersive was its commitment to including global players through full localization — including the Russian language. Until now.

    The news that Battlefield 6 will be released without any Russian language support — not even subtitles — is disappointing and alienating. It cuts off millions of players from engaging with the story, the interface, and the experience in a language they understand.

    According to Steam statistics, Russian-speaking players are consistently among the top 5 most active gaming communities worldwide. The EA App shows similar trends. We are not a fringe market. We are a core audience that has supported Battlefield with our time, passion, and money for over two decades.

    We are not asking for full voiceover. We are simply asking for basic localization: subtitles, menus, and interface in Russian — just like in all previous Battlefield games. This is about inclusion, accessibility, and respect.

    Please don’t turn your back on millions of players.
    Please bring back Russian language support in Battlefield 6.

    📈 Key Data: Why Russian-Speaking Players Matter

    To DICE and Electronic Arts,

    Our region isn't a marginal market — it's one of your core player bases with proven loyalty and scale:

    Steam Dominance: Russian-speaking users comprise **9.7% of all Steam players** — the **3rd largest userbase globally**, surpassing Germany, the UK, and France .

    Battlefield-Specific Activity:

      - Even in 2025, Battlefield 2042 maintains 50,000–80,000 monthly active players across platforms, with significant engagement from CIS countries .

      - Legacy titles like Battlefield 1 still boast 12,804 daily players years after release — proof of our long-term commitment .

    Historical Context: The series has thrived in our region since Battlefield 1942 (2002), with localized hits like BF4 (full russian support) becoming cult classics .

    - Community Infrastructure:

    Dedicated CIS hubs like the **20,000+ member VK and Telegram, Youtube group 1BF, Децык, Sxemov, Zombierus, Segafive and active **Discord squads** organize daily matches — yet we're treated as second-class players.

    Ignoring 1 in 10 Steam users isn't just disrespectful — it's commercially shortsighted. When Battlefield 4 launched with full Russian support, it became your highest-rated title in CIS; contrast this with BF2042's player collapse (-90% from peak) — partly fueled by localization neglect. We want to spend money on your games, but we refuse to pay full price for a fragmented experience.

    We believe in Battlefield. We love this franchise. We want to continue being part of it, fighting alongside you on the new battlefield 6. But for that, we need the Russian language. Do not push away those who have stood with you all these years!

    Sincerely,

    The Russian-Speaking Battlefield Veterans Community.

  • In addition to the current post on the implementation of functions, taking into account the passage of the beta test, it is also necessary to implement the ability to change (rotate) the team (parties to the conflict) at the beginning of the match, or during matchmaking and search. Since this feature will give many players (like in the days of Battlefield 3 and 4) the opportunity to choose the attack or defense side (depending on the game mode), join as a single team for one team (not limited to squad limit) and even take into account the aesthetic aspect of the game, taking into account each side of the conflict and immersion in a specific map.
