Their 'solution' to keeping people playing is to make the game a real grind - for power upgrades instead of cosmetics only.
Instead of fixing the need for farming bots, they ruined the game for people legitimately enjoying the full progression PvE Portal games, which was a huge draw for a lot of people not wanting to, or able to, play against full time gamers with the reflexes of a coked up cat.
It feels like out complaints/feedback/suggestions are falling on deaf ears, but like many others, I'm still hoping they can turn it around and deliver a great Battlefield game.
