Total Attrition Game Mode (Idea)

Total Attrition is a game mode Idea that is supposed to bring that grounded, gritty feeling to the more Milsim players of Battlefield 6. Not to say that Battlefield 6 isn't grounded at all, but considering these changes, the game can feel like an entirely different, visceral experience.

Here is a list of Five Idea Categories that can make Battlefield 6 a True War Experience.

- Total Attrition Game Mode - 

Core Combat Rules

Friendly Fire, No Hud, No Kill Sounds (FF includes mines as well).

Immediate Cut to Black When DEAD (Not Downed).

Being able to shoot dead bodies.

Crawling When Downed 

 Shooting Downed Enemies To Fully Kill Them.

Headshots From ANY Weapon That Has A High Enough Caliber To Pierce Helmets Makes Your Target Unable To Be Revived.

Explosives Specifically Are Much More Damaging And Impactful, Can Cause Concussion, And Visually/Physically Impair Victims.

Infantry Movement & Loadouts

Magazine System Replaces Ammo. (Optional but Recommend Addition)

Limited Ammo For All Weapons Including World Weapons.

Better weight System (Carrying More Gadgets And Heavier Weapons Means Loss Of Mobility)

Option To Bring 0-2 Gadgets (ex. No Gadget at all, or Rocket Launcher And C4)

Free-Leaning & Freelook On Foot. (More of a Game Setting Suggestion)

Binoculars and Full Gadget & Throwables Availability For All Classes. (Binoculars are an Optional Addition)

NVG And Flares For Nighttime. (Optional Addition)

Tactical Specials (AC-130, Destroyer, ect.. Optional Addition).

Gamemode Structure 

 Dynamic weather and Time cycle. (Optional Addition)

1-2 Hour Matches/More Tickets.

Operations + Escalation Styled Gameplay (See End For More Detail)

Vehicle Differences

Vehicles Carry Much More Weight Making Them Slower.

Slower Tank Reload Times.

Certain Vehicle's Huds Remains In Place (ie. Jet and Helicopter Hud).

Heavier Vehicles Take Even Longer To Accelerate. 

Limited Vehicle Defenses/Specials When In need (ie. Smokes are Limited, ADS Isn't)

Vehicles Resupply Stations ONLY Available At HQ.

Mobile Resupply Crates Are Either Disabled or Limited By Use.

True War Gameplay (Operations + Escalation)

The main gameplay of the Total Attrition gamemode is to slowly advance through sectors and maps, while maintaining that escalating, dynamic and intense feel of the Escalation gamemode.

The intense feeling, plus the overall scale and additional gameplay factors will make players feel as if they are fighting an actual war where their deaths, wins and losses contribute to the complete game in the end.

Instead of the "Ring-Around-the-Rosie" stalemate of Conquest, or overall short lasting matches, Total Attrition is meant to bring that chaotic, destructive grounded war experience to a much more reactive and persistent playground where every player can contribute to the final end game match that decides the true winner after a long, hard fought War.
