TTK is way too short

I don't know why it is this short. Maybe this is how they want to close the skill gap? The faster the ttk is the easier it is to kill anyone. Basically coupled this with laser beam weapons it is pretty much zero skill to kill anyone anymore. There is no time to react to anything. You can't run you can't hide nothing. You just accept your fate at that point. Basically whoever shoots first wins.

Gauntlet has perfect ttk because the plates give 2x 40 extra hp on top of the 100. That is how multiplayer should be too.

It’s pretty terrible with how fast the ttk is now.  The point and shoot aspect is king. Even from my side I’ve gotten some kills that even I was like wow I shouldn’t have been able to make that lol. It’s my biggest complaint about s2.

  • Doesn't help that as soon as you get hit it's like you become paralysed,

  • I disagree. The TTK is actually absurdly long. In normal engagements, players behave like bullet sponges, soaking up multiple rounds with little consequence. That completely undermines any sense of tactical gameplay.

If someone has poor positioning, ignores cover, or lacks situational awareness, they should be punished. When you get shot first from a superior position, you’re supposed to die — that’s how both real combat and well-designed virtual battlefields work.

The current setup does the opposite:

    • cover becomes far less relevant
    • the first shot barely matters
    • fights are decided by DPS and magazine size rather than tactics

A shorter TTK would encourage smart movement, terrain usage, and decision-making. An inflated TTK only protects bad play, allowing players to survive mistakes they shouldn’t.

If someone wants an arcade experience, that’s fine — but let’s call it what it is. In its current state, this doesn’t function as a tactical shooter.

You make good points. But the trouble with that level of gunplay is the way the maps are designed and cover is distributed become even more important and exacerbate the issues of map balance and harder to breach choke points. The Accuracy of weapons atm is not as big of an issue as the TTK imo, I tend to agree with the OP and I think TTK is just that little bit too quick. I wouldn't consider BF6 to be a tactical shooter more than an arcade shooter, and applying "real combat" and drawing inspiration from milsim shooters would infact hurt not help BF6 imho.

The game is supposed to be fun with a lot of movement happening all over the map, like it used to be in... bf3, bf4. At the moment I find that people are winning gunfights where they really shouldn't be winning even with their poor positioning and my good positioning.

In addition I genuinely think the removal of suppression is a big contributor to this. I never had an issue with the suppression mechanics and thought they were excellent at giving the player with the positioning advantage the edge in a gun fight. I don't pretend to be the best shooter but shooting at a sniper with an lmg, only for him to pop his head out of cover and headshot me within milliseconds (on pc) is kind of silly to me given my experience in past titles.

The TTK is too short. Whatever you both say is just coping hard. You are probably loving it because it makes easy to get kills for you. Well because it is. If ttk is longer you actually have to have a good aim to hit someone for longer than 0.2 sec. Specially a moving target. The faster the TTK is the less skill it takes to kill someone.

A longer TTK would actually slow down the game a bit and it would not be all this run and gun mess.

Go try out gauntlet and you will see the TTK is night and day. Literally feels like playing a way better game. That is why I would like a bit longer TTK in multiplayer as well.
