I will need feedback. Does that fix the PC crashing problem?
If not, I can axe the teamswitcher and bot toggler signs, since they have a bunch of scaled and overlapping geometry that might crash some PCs.
If I get no feedback, I might create a new thread and hope someone engages there. It would be more helpful if the feedback I got was from someone who confirmed that they did have the problem but still have the problem or don't have the problem any more. Randoms who never confirmed that they used to have the problem, are less helpful.
I hope that you will assist.
You can host locally? That must be a PC-only option. I have heard so many people say that they WISH they could host experiences locally and not waste global server resources, so I assumed that no one can and that was a 2042 thing. But you can?
And the game crashing must be a PC-only problem too. I can assure you that the block rules are logical, error-free, and function as intended. I don't know what you think I can do about my rules or my spatial information in the sandbox DICE made. Everything are json files built using their tools with their limitations. They are just text files that say, within the limits of what you say you are able to do, I want you to do these things. Those json files are then uploaded and validated by their portal. At submission, portal says if there were any errors. Then, once approved, in the game, those resources are loaded into their game engine as additional parameters. Then, the game engine tells you at run-time if there were any errors. All that succeeding, leaves me with nothing to action.
Sounds like a PC bug report is required.
I can't believe that you are the first person to tell me. I get thumbs-up, but not other feedback.
To try, I simplified some nodes in the spatial files to the minimum and resubmitted every experience.
Also, need 64 players not less, this is Battlefield. Again solo/co-op PvE is needed for those, which is many, want it ... as well as PvPvE.
All game modes that is in PvP should be in the PvE against bots. This is very doable and I don't get why devs removed the PvE game modes.
The GAME crashed. When you host a custom mission there are 2 options: host and host locally...when you use the regular "host" a new server instance is started for you, and when you host locally you are running the mission off your own machine and there is no server used. I believe it crashed the game in both cases for me...I assumed it is something about your code or how the game is handling something about your code that needs to be fixed because I never had BF6 crash before while playing the default stuff.
...sorry I cant be of more help but I wont be following this forum now and Ive uninstalled the game so I cant test more. Thats all I know :-(
I tried it 2 time and got a black screen! So I gave up. BF6 is so F'ed up right now I would be surprised to see if the Saudi Arabia still wants buy's EA after the failure of BF6 ROFL!!!
"Locally"? I don't know what that means. One persistent and one not persistent?
What was the server up-times?
The server crashed, or the game crashed?
I didn't join a server...I hosted, 1 time locally and 1 time not...both times crashed the game hard.
Sorry, I tried a quick search but it didn't yield any results, probably a Twitter or Reddit reply. My memory is terrible on specifics but can give you my word it was said somewhere - Of course, there were no guarantees that any of it will happen, just that feedback on the subject is has definitely been brought to their attention.
"ZH6YV - just to let you know this one was crashing the game on me every time I tried hosting it, sometimes at very beginning and sometimes after playing for a short while."
Weird. Don't know. What was the server up-time?
I have played for hours without it crashing. But, yeah, some servers disconnect after 5 minutes for no apparent reason. I just rehost it until I get a good server. I don't know why some servers disconnect. Did they crash? Or something else? Network issues at their host? Rebooted for maintenance? Who knows. There are no errors in the event log.... Hard to say.
Information and transparency from EA are both lacking. I can only speculate. Did you host persistent, or not? Server up-time like 24 hours or less?
It seems like if you don't host persistent on a busy weekend night, you get a worse server that is more laggy, has a higher up time, and is more likely to disconnect you. I almost wonder if they purposely toss low-player-count non-persistent servers into the shredder whenever they need the server for matchmaking or something.
