Well boys, they done it again.

If EA really hated farming, they would revoke approval of the farms they approved during the first week of launch. But they don't do that. So, it must be some other objective that they think they are trying to accomplish. Or they are horribly confused and incapable.

Agreed, I've been hosting a server for almost 2 weeks 64 bots and 64 humans, 32 bots and 32 humans per team. Would start with 1 human and 32 v 32 bots.

People loved it, 30 humans at one point so 94 playing on a map with the bots included. There were rivalries, friendships and true battlefield moments being made because the servers rolled on and didn't boot everyone after each game.

Would come home excited to see who was on the server and started recognising the regulars, knew who would be an awesome sniper or a brilliant helicopter pilot and to see if they were on your team or not.

Then came back today and can no longer start the game without 20 players, even when it got started there was only a few bots and 40 in total on the game. 

Massive disappointment, can't understand why dice took that from us. Feels like they want to force us into REDSEC or some LTM that I never brought the game for

So many people are just waiting for a portal update that allows playing Solo with Bots (in verified modes) or playing with no bots for other people. Why are they taking so long to provide these options?

Its not that, its that no employee actually goes to the servers to find out whats being done with them. All they see is server stats. They wouldnt know if xp farming was taking place unless some streamer a-hole advertises it.

This is EA. Don't you understand what Capitalism/Commercialism is? its all about MONEY. It's simply not worth it for them.

I want to go back to the days where a product is MINE after I purchase it, and we can get servers of our own. But Digital laws mean they own all of "our" games and we just rent them. of course its still called "buying" which it surely isnt. CHANGE THE LAWS!!!!

Verified modes in Portal should absolutely be playable with bots and allow for normal XP and weapon progression (as advertised) That's all most of us casual gamers want. I don't understand how they couldn't include a solo / co-op mode in this game. Instead of building on what works EA just makes the same mistakes over and over again.

The very definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. 

The laws need to be changed with regards to this false advertisement. A bunch of us older gamers bought this game for the promise of playing the way we want on Portal and still have normal XP and weapon progression, only to have the rug yanked out from underneath us 2 weeks in.

EA is punishing the casual gamer because of their lack of oversight.

I would however, like to say thank you to the ones who created Conquest on Portal with bots (which also allowed progression) as it was a ton of fun while it lasted. Too bad EA nerfed those to the ground too.
