What did you learn from the wet work?

Soldiers, how is progress coming along on your event mission contracts?

I haven't managed to complete it even once yet. I've played a few matches since it started, but even when the contract drops, neither I nor my squadmates are able to complete it.

"Wetwork" was hell. I was forced to play Conquest—a mode where decent matches are rare—and my squadmates wouldn't pick up the low-drop-rate contracts at all. I kept telling myself that once the mission was over, I’d finally be done with Conquest.

However, I’ve found myself having to go through that hell all over again. It’s a relief that Escalation counts this time—meaning I don't have to stick to Conquest—but the drop rates and mission objectives feel just as bad as ever.

Just like with the "wetwork" missions, it seems there is absolutely no information explaining the mechanics of how to drop a contract. Am I just missing it, or is it truly nowhere to be found—even after repeatedly enduring that pointless, unskippable three-second pop-up that appears every time I open the event page? (Seriously, that pop-up contains no actual information and makes no sense whatsoever.)

Was there absolutely no feedback from us players during the "wet work" phase? And if that was the case, why didn't they reflect it?

P.S.

I appreciate the addition of Escalations, but you mustn't abandon the players who love modes like Rush and Breakthrough!

  • I was chatting in my local community group when I remembered—I had completed contracts in Battle Royale back then, too! Thanks to that, I was able to finish the contracts in just a few hours.😁

You have to rely on luck since the drops depend on missions involving aircraft or vehicles, but Battle Royale is far, *far* better suited for this than Conquest or Escalation. The drops happen so frequently it’s actually funny—I highly recommend it!!!!

I hate to say it, but the people who planned and pushed through both "Wet Work" and this latest initiative are beyond comprehension. The feedback process for "Wet Work" proved to be meaningless, demonstrating that the team simply does not listen to us.

I’d rather not think about it, but if there is a next time, I pray that things will actually be improved.

Well, even if it's not done, it can be resolved by playing a battle royale, so that's fine, but it's easy to imagine how angry those who absolutely do not want to play a battle royale will be.

Only killed enemys can drop contracts and the kill has to be by your hand and maybe by squadmates hand

  • As an added bonus to make things pointlessly difficult, they threw the free week players into the game mode for wetwork.  So yea, there's undoubtedly a large amount of players that barely know how to play the game, then expecting them to pick up the contracts, AND THEN expecting them to help complete them?  That's a fools game.

Truly, this weeks patch/update is one that seems designed to make players want to NOT play the game.
