Why do BF6 owners have to play F2P REDSEC to progress the Battle Pass?
I pre-ordered Battlefield 6 Phantom Edition for 100 €, which includes both the Battle Pass and the BF Pro Token - items that are already paid content.
Yet, to progress the Battle Pass, I am required to play the free-to-play side-modes Battlegrounds (BG), Gauntlet, or even Strikepoint, which has nothing to do with the authentic Battlefield gameplay.
In Week 1, 5 of 11 assignments (≈ 50%) - including the bonus task - could only be completed in BG or Gauntlet.
In Week 2, this number increased to 6 of 11, again locked to BG / Gauntlet and one to Strikepoint.
I bought Battlefield because I love Battlefield, not battle-royales or arcade spin-offs.
I want to play and progress inside the core Battlefield experience - modes like Conquest, Escalation, or Breakthrough - without being forced into a separate F2P product that only shares the name.
Why this matters:
For example Players who paid for the Phantom Edition already purchased all premium content (Battle Pass + BF Pro Token).
Progression for that content should not depend on participation in a different free-to-play mode. Forcing paid players into BG / Gauntlet or even Strikepoint fragments the player base and contradicts the purpose of buying the full edition.
Request:
Please explain why BF6/Phantom Edition owners must play separate F2P modes to progress the Battle Pass, and whether you plan to:
Allow Battle Pass and weekly assignment progression in all official core modes (Conquest, Escalation, Breakthrough, etc.),
or Offer "any mode" alternatives for these tasks.
If players wish to try BG or Strikepoint, we will - but we should not be forced to do so just to complete assignments in the game we paid for.
Thank you.
