Wrongful Ban
I have recently been banned for "Gameplay Enhancement" on BF6 (Steam) and Im trying to understand why and how. I have never used cheats or any gameplay enhancing devices like Cronus, I dont even use controllers on PC, only mouse and keyboard. I have had this account since 2015 and own plenty of EA games on xbox and steam and never received any sort of punitive action taken on my account. I have over 100 steam games on my Steam account that is 14 years old and have 0 VAC violations or bans. I recently found out through this ban that an old friend was using my account for Sims 3 & 4 and changed the primary email and password a long time ago which I have now addressed and changed it to my actual email and changed my password as well. My steam account is linked to this EA account which was compromised but now fixed. The only explanation I have for the ban is I do have DAWs for music production (FL studio and Ableton) running in the background and have Audio interfaces (focusrite scarlet solo) for it connected to my pc. I also have iCue and Armoury Crate running for my RGB set up which I recently researched can also flag my account for a ban. I Have virtual drives running for old PC games from the early 2000s late 90s as well. I also have music production Amp simulators such as BiasFX2 and Neural DSP that are both VST and standalone. I Have never turned off Secure Boot or messed with my ASUS Bios settings unless it was for minor overclocking using the AI overclock feature. I have never had issues in other EA games or any game at all. I believe the anti-cheat has detected those programs as hacking software of some sort and issues the ban automatically. I recently placed an appeal for the ban but it had to be under 1000 characters and I couldnt fully explain my issue, hopefully I can get a response where I can go into detail about what happened. I notice many players are being banned wrongfully on BF6 and many banned rightfully as well. Ive been a huge fan of Battlefield (not 2042 lol) and have owned every single one since BF1942 and never had issues until now. Its just sad to see the game I bought for 100$ and was excited to play with friends is unplayable due to something out of my control and I would appreciate some sort of notice or update from EA as to why many are receiving wrongful bans for things that might trigger the anti-cheat. If anyone else is in the same boat, what programs or software were you running in the background that could trigger the anti cheat?
