Yes, I preordered the Standard Edition and have been playing since release. Sadly, I can confirm the Xbox Series X crashing that happened during the entire Open Beta is still happening for me now (over 10+ hours already tried). Most games crash within 5–15 minutes, sometimes instantly. Very rarely, I can finish an entire match, but that’s the exception. Crashes happen in singleplayer, multiplayer, even at the menu/desktop—there doesn’t seem to be any consistent trigger.
What I’ve tried so far:
- Unplugging all cables and letting the console rest
- Cleaning all console air vents and dust
- Factory resetting the console
- Installing the newest Xbox updates
- Reinstalling the game multiple times
- Switching endlessly between Fidelity and Performance modes (no impact on stability)
- Reporting crashes through Xbox’s Report a Problem app and EA support
I have no idea what else to do to play a $69.99 game without constant crashing :-( - Sarrci2 months agoSeasoned Newcomer
Happening to me since 2042. Done everything xbox and ea support told me to do and nothing has worked

Happening to me, on PC. I can get to the menu but starting anything will make the game crash an reboot the pc entirely.

I had this issue on Beta and now on the release. They won’t/will not acknowledge the issue. I am so pissed I was excite me this whole week to play BF6 on Friday but was only left with disappointment. I’m just going to get a refund. Very disappointed in EA/Dice.

This has literally only ever happened with battlefield 6. Every other game I have ever played I’ve had no issues with including battlefield 2042.
I had an XSX that would crash randomly didn't matter which game. Whole threads online of people having the same problem but there are some here who seem to know more. So hey, what do I know. Over to them.

Same here with series S. Not a minute into anything other than the firing range, it crashes to Home Screen. Xbox recommended fixes do NOT work so I’m sending unit back for repair/replacement. 🤞🏼

Same here, spoke to Microsoft, they said it is the internet. Got all settings adjusted, played 1 game and then it froze the game after. Read it might be something to do with the hardware in the first gen consoles...

Same here. Spoke to xbox who said that I needed to reconfigure by NAT settings and open ports with my Internet provider and it would defo fix the problem. Did as said, played one game then the same happened. Had it happen on this game and AC shadows. Read it could be a hardware problem with first gen series x

I think I have some good news for XSX users. I uninstalled all the HD texture add-ons for both multiplayer and campaign, and now I’ve played over 4 hours and several matches with no crashes in either Performance or Fidelity mode.
If you’re on Xbox Series X, try not installing or just uninstall these HD add-ons:
- Battlefield 6 Multiplayer HD
- Battlefield 6 Multiplayer HD Marker
- Battlefield 6 Singleplayer HDI don’t want to give any false hope—you’ll have to test this for yourself—but so far, it’s working for me, and those 4+ crash-free hours are now my record. The difference in visual quality is barely noticeable during normal gameplay. Most importantly, the game isn’t crashing anymore. I’ll keep you updated if anything changes, but there’s at least some hope until they can patch it!

The crashing is insane I can’t even finish a single match
