Battlefield 6 - PS5 intermittent connection issues

For the past few days this error has begun to appear and just randomly disconnect me in the middle of any game mode I'm playing, I've tried resetting router, changing dns settings and clearing ps5 cache, with no joy. Anyone else getting this or any idea how to fix it ? I was in a party with my mates the other night and I seem to be the only one that was getting theberror which has left me trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong at my end or with my Internet settings etc?

I've restricted myself to mainly playing quick games (strike point) when I really want to be playing conquest or redsec, however it's just not possible as I'll just get randomly kicked out after 20 mins and shown this error.

Any help would be much appreciated

  • Hi there. Have you tried the connection troubleshooting steps here? Also, are you on a wired or wireless connection? Thanks!

  • Hi there thanks for getting back to me , I managed to play a full game of conquest just there now without any issues and after it while I was checking my loadouts l I've started getting another error message saying I'm not signed into  the playstation network when I definitely am. This message will not go away I've even tried signing in and out of my PlayStation account and ea with no joy ☹️

Thanks for the response. Are you using a wired or wireless connection?

As a test, can you switch to a wire to see if that improves your connection? Disconnects and lag are far more likely to happen with wireless connections.

Hi there, I wish I could however they layout of my house means this is literally impossible atm.. the ps5 isn't far from the router however I will try connecting a WiFi mesh directly to the ps5 and then to the router to try and resolve the issue

That's most likely the problem then. With wireless, you're always going to have more lag and disconnects than being on a wired connection. Especially if your router is far from our console.
