Request support for Middle East servers in Battlefield 6.

Hello Battlefield 6 Team,

I am a PlayStation 5 player from Saudi Arabia and I would like to raise a concern shared by many players across Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region.

Since the launch of Battlefield 6, many Middle Eastern players have been experiencing consistently high latency, often ranging between 80–110ms, despite using high-speed fiber connections, wired Ethernet setups, gaming routers, and network optimization tools. In many cases, the issue appears to be related to server location and routing rather than players’ local networks.

The Battlefield franchise has always had a strong and loyal player base in the Middle East, and many of us are wondering if there are any plans to deploy dedicated Middle East servers or improve regional matchmaking and routing in the future.

Could you please provide an official update regarding:

  • The status of Middle East server support.
  • Any plans for dedicated servers in the region.
  • Future improvements to latency and matchmaking for Middle Eastern players.

We greatly appreciate the work being done on Battlefield 6 and hope to see better connectivity options for players in our region. Thank you for your time, and we look forward to hearing from the team.

Kind regards,

  • Hey just to clarify I'm not from EA but I am a game developer and know a lot about this stuff so to answer your questions 1 middle east servers have been down for the past 2 months 2 yes but it's out of EAs control 3 is just the same as 2 so some more details if you want to get into them is EA servers and many other servers run off AWS servers which are Amazon web servers which during the conflict the 2 servers EA has in the middle east were both drone striked and are awaiting repairs (which is why you have high ping there are no servers in the middle east to play on) which is why EA has made all the middle east get routed to Europe (this I can't say 100% certainty but I think it's because there European servers are a lot better then there closers ones near like India) but a lot of people have asked me why don't they just make new servers in a different company or in the newly fixed AWS servers in Qatar well it isn't that simple for EA as firstly EA isn't in charge of the servers they have a contract with a different company to manage all there servers which basically means if they wanted to change there servers to somewhere else they would have to redo the contract which would still take months before they get a agreement and a lot of money and by that time the conflict could of been ended and they just spent that money and time for nothing just to try and make one of the lowest populated regions happy so the only things you can do now is live with the high ping and just wait until AWS fixes there servers as soon as AWS fixes them EA's will be up there servers are in I know dubai is one and I believe they have another one where ever it is and it sounds like the conflict could be ending soon as they signed something to get a resolution soon which will make Amazon more likely to fix the servers as they don't have a threat of it being striked again if you have any more questions feel free to ask I don't work for EA or amazon so don't ask me estimate or anything as I have 0 clue
