That said, of all the "fixes" going around, the only one that was helpful for me (didn't crash for a couple hours) was also the stupidest one:
If you normally start the game from EA, start it from Steam, and vice versa.
I'm not saying it makes sense, just it was the only voodoo fix that did anything for me.
Yes, that sounds confusing.
During my research, I also came across a thread on Steam where a user noted that there are problems with the installation path of EA's anti-cheat software.
