Have tried loads - still the same issue, splash screen for the anticheat, the black loading window, then nothing
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X (12-Core)
RAM: 64 GB DDR4
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti Super (16 GB VRAM)
Storage: C: Primary Windows SSD; D: Secondary SSD (original Steam library)
Operating System: Windows 10/11 (specify version)
Game Platform: Steam (linked with EA App)
EA App Version: (specify version)
NVIDIA Driver Version: (specify version)
Description of the Problem
- Game installed and launched through Steam.
- EA App opens automatically as expected.
- After clicking Play, a black window flashes briefly, sometimes showing the Battlefield 6 splash/loading
screen.
- Within seconds, the window closes with no crash report, error message, or event log notice.
- EA App returns to idle state as if the game was never launched.
Troubleshooting Steps Already Taken
1. EA App and AntiCheat
- Cleared EA App cache (App Recovery > Clear Cache).
- Uninstalled and reinstalled EA App.
- Uninstalled and reinstalled EA AntiCheat.
- Verified AntiCheat service permissions and re-registered it via EAAntiCheatInstaller.exe.
2. Steam and Game Installation
- Verified game file integrity via Steam.
- Uninstalled and reinstalled Battlefield 6 completely.
- Moved the Steam library from D:\ to C:\.
- Reinstalled the game in the new library location.
3. GPU and Display Settings
- Fully uninstalled and clean-installed NVIDIA drivers using DDU.
- Disabled all overlays (NVIDIA GeForce Experience, Steam, EA App, Discord, Xbox Game Bar).
- Attempted launch with G-Sync and V-Sync disabled.
- Attempted lower resolution and disabled HDR.
4. Performance / Compatibility
- Checked and installed all Windows updates.
- Disabled third-party background software (MSI Afterburner, RivaTuner, etc.).
- Launched as Administrator.
- Attempted compatibility mode (Windows 8/10).
- Disabled fullscreen optimizations.
5. Registry and Configuration
- Removed residual EA/Origin registry entries under HKLM and HKCU.
- Deleted Battlefield 6 user settings and cache folders in Documents and ProgramData.
6. Reinstallation
- Reinstalled all related software: EA App, EA AntiCheat, Battlefield 6 via Steam, NVIDIA drivers.
Additional Notes
- System runs other EA titles without issue.
- No errors appear in Windows Event Viewer or Reliability Monitor.
- Issue appears isolated to Battlefield 6 (October 2025 release) via Steam + EA App combination.
Even created a new windows login account and had the same result.
Spoke to EA who advised Clean windows boot, and that failed to ...
The issue has to be the anti-cheat crashing the game or the EA APP, or both.
What I notice is that is the Jedi Fallen order and Survivor show in my library but Battlefield 6 still does not... and those games load and run etc no issue... those to are via Steam library
