Battlefield REDSEC VRam
Issue Description
During sustained gaming sessions, a critical VRAM leak issue occurs, primarily affecting performance and texture streaming. The issue becomes severely noticeable when:
- The game has been running for over 30 minutes.
- The player is in a high-action area or a Battle Royale mode.
- The player is moving quickly across the map (e.g., in a vehicle).
📉 Observed Symptoms
- Texture Corruption/Delayed Loading: Vehicles and nearby ground textures often appear as low-resolution (Low-Res) or corrupted/mangled models. The system fails to load high-resolution textures because the VRAM pool is full.
- Severe Performance Drop (FPS Drop): Once the VRAM is saturated, the average and 1\% Low FPS drop drastically, leading to heavy stuttering and unplayable gameplay.
- VRAM Usage: System monitoring confirms that the game continuously allocates VRAM without properly clearing (flushing) unused assets.
💡 Temporary Community Workarounds Used
To mitigate the issue temporarily, I am currently relying on these workarounds:
- Lowering Texture Quality: Graphics settings, specifically Texture Quality, have been lowered from Ultra/High to Medium to reduce the VRAM requirement of each asset.
- Game Restart: The game must be completely closed and restarted after every one or two matches to manually clear the VRAM and temporarily restore performance.
Request:
Please prioritize and expedite the investigation and fixing of this critical VRAM leak issue. The bug renders the game unplayable for users with 8GB VRAM GPUs and requires an Official Patch from the development team.
