BF6 & BF2042 – Crash / BSOD (EAAntiCheat.sys) After Launch
Hi everyone,
since the launch of Battlefield 6 I’ve been experiencing crashes to desktop and sometimes blue screens (EAAntiCheat.sys). The same happens in Battlefield 2042, while Battlefield 1 and Battlefield V run perfectly stable.
I’ve already tried all common fixes:
- Clean GPU driver reinstall with DDU (tested 579.41, 581.42, 581.47 Hotfix)
- Secure Boot and TPM enabled, BIOS in UEFI mode
- Hyper-V, VBS, and Core Isolation disabled
- EA AntiCheat completely uninstalled, registry cleaned, then reinstalled
- Deleted NVIDIA NGX, DXCache, GLCache, and Frostbite cache folders
- Disabled DLSS, Frame Generation, Reflex, all overlays, and HAGS
- Verified and repaired game files in the EA App
- Ran SFC and DISM, no system errors found
Despite all this, both BF6 and BF2042 either:
- Crash to desktop right after the splash screen, or
- Occasionally cause a blue screen showing EAAntiCheat.sys
System specs:
CPU: Intel Core i9-13900KF (Raptor Lake)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 (driver 581.47 Hotfix)
RAM: 96 GB DDR5-7000 (Corsair CMH48GX5M2)
Mainboard: ASRock Z790 Pro RS (BIOS 8.02, UEFI + Secure Boot ON)
Storage: Multiple NVMe + SATA SSDs
OS: Windows 10 Pro 22H2 (19045.5636, UEFI Boot, TPM active)
It seems like the EA AntiCheat v1.9.2 driver conflicts with the latest NVIDIA 58x branch.
Could someone from EA confirm if this is being investigated or if a hotfix is planned?
I can provide crash dumps or minidumps if needed.
Thanks in advance.
