BF6 Crashes when in-game?

Sometime after launching the game i crash usually when i get revived. However in order for me to start the game again i have to reboot my pc. My game will freeze briefly and then crash to desktop

I am not sure what is going on I have reset my pc and still no change

If I leave myself in menu nothing will happen and I wont crash but only when I'm in-game

  • Update! I fixed it

My issue was because on Event Viewer on Windows 11. I had a system component called "stornvme" giving off an error called "The driver detected a controller error on \Device\RaidPort0." This error is located under "System".

This would cause EA Anti Cheat crash along with that specific system component. Requiring me to reboot my computer to regain access to my SSD. (I have 2 SSD's one for games and one for Windows) FYI EA Anti cheat would also crash too and give off the error during the time of writing all of this I accidentally deleted the log.

How I fixed the issue is by updating drivers. Now ASUS does not provide anymore updates for my motherboard sadly because they stopped around 2021 (somewhere around there). It is always recommended to get your driver updates from your motherboard manufacturer but in this case its fine (probably)

So for anyone else needing a fix here is how I did it.

If your game is running off a secondary internal NVME SSD. There is a chance you need to update the drivers and windows 11 will not install them automatically (As far as I'm aware of)

When you perform a windows update normally you go to this screen on windows 11

    Go to "Advanced Options"

    Go to "Optional updates"

Now hit the drop down and install the optional updates relating to "storage drivers"

You do not need to install all of them at least for me I cant because some of them fail for what ever reason.

After doing the updates restart your computer and test and see if your game crashes.

Keep in mind for any game at all if your game crashes for any reason going to Event Viewer is good practice to resolve any issues.
