The launch releases said that each player would be able to host a persistent portal server but at all times of day all you get is "GLOBAL GAME QUOTA EXCEEDED". I've been sitting here for 20 minutes mashing Host and it just won't do it.
Run the thing on AWS or GCP and scale up/down as needed. This isn't that hard anymore. So far I view portal as a complete failure because I can't even launch a match.
Lol 20 minutes? Try 4 days for me, in that time I only got into my server once. Until people start some kind of action, which EA know people won't, this isn't going to change. They know they can just keep quiet until less people play
