Finally got it working
It seems on my machine, it doesn't like the built-in Microsoft security features. I went into Security Features, then Exploit Protection add bf6.exe to program settings and turned everything off bar Arbitrary Code Guard
Rebooted, and then the game finally launched
As the update stopped the game from launching, and I hadn't changed any system settings since the game worked earlier in the day before the update, it wasn't the first thing on my list to change
