I've been getting this since the "Purchase to Unlock" issue was fixed. Before the fix I was able to play custom servers without an issue. I thought it was only me so I've been trying to update/change my router settings with no solution.
Further detail: I can get into games but after about 7-10 minutes I drop from the server with an "Unknown Error" (Error Code 1:85008S:20123264140:65541Q). - MrDollhouse5 months agoNew Rookie
It's been over 10 hours now, EA. You haven't even acknowledged this issue... Thousands of people still cannot play the game. GET TO WORK. We paid for this crap.

Same issue. Seems like they've changed something on their end that is blocking some ISPs from connecting to their servers. Last weekend I was playing Battlefield 2042 without a problem and this weekend I cannot play Battlefield 2042 OR Battlefield 6. HOWEVER, if I switch to the hotspot on my phone I can get in without a problem. I've contacted my ISP, I've reset my DNS, I've done everything I can think to do to make it work and nothing. Incredibly frustrating! I paid over $80 for this :(
In case it needs to be said.. playing on my hotspot isn't really feasible. It is SUPER laggy.
Also - I keep submitting cases but the cases don't actually go through, what's that about??
I have the same. The game puts me in the queue but then this error appears. I'm on Steam. When played beta had no problems at all.

God **bleep** it, I tried everything. Out of the 4.5h in this game on steam, I managed to only play 4 full matches before I started getting this error. Nothing helps, restarting my router, my PC, verifying files, reinstalling the game, flushing DNS, changing DNS gateway, switching to my mobile phone's internet, turning on a VPN and connecting to other countries, trying Cloudflare WARP, disconnecting any USB devices aside from my mouse and keyboard (obviously), making sure Steam overlay is turned on (it already was on), making sure I'm logged into my EA profile and it's linked to Steam, using wired connection (already was on it).
Am I missing something? No, I shouldn't be, this game should not require 6 hours of troubleshooting and testing so it can run, which it does NOT! It's a waste of money and my patience. I can't even refund it anymore, because I've clocked almost 5h "in game".
I sent a ticket to EA support, don't know if it's gonna do anything though. - amoogus735 months agoNew Hotshot
