Critical USB/Network Device Freeze Caused by Javelin Anti-Cheat
Whenever Battlefield 6 is running and I start Discord, my USB controller on my motherboard dies for a few seconds. This disables all USB-connected devices, including my AiO display (connected via USB-C), keyboard, mouse, and other peripherals. Simultaneously, the network controller also goes offline, which immediately disconnects me from online sessions.
The same issue occurs when closing the Telegram Desktop App.
Devices usually recover after ~10 seconds, but in some cases, the system remains completely unresponsive until a full restart.
This seems to be related to Javelin Anti-Cheat, as Battlefield 6 alone does not have kernel-level access to cause such behavior.
Some users on Reddit have reported similar issues.
BIOS update has partially improved the recovery behavior of USB controllers, but the problem is still present.
This can potentially cause system overheating if, for example, the AiO cooling controller loses communication.
My system specifications:
Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F Gaming WIFI
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D
GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ti
RAM: 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5 6000MHz
AiO connected via internal USB-C
Expected behavior:
Starting or closing third-party applications like Discord or Telegram while Battlefield 6 is running should not disable USB or network devices.
Impact:
Major disruption in online gameplay
Potential system crashes and overheating due to AiO controller freeze
