DLSS and/or NVidia Frame Gen crashing the game
It's been a problem since the beta and I don't understand why it wasn't addressed for the release when others have reported it being a problem since the beta as well.
Looking around it's on other systems as well, not just my particular setup trying to use NVidia Surround. But it's also only DLSS. I can use XeSS or FSR, but as soon as I try selecting DLSS, instant pink 'greyscale', game freezing and either waiting a few minutes for the dump file, or force quitting.
Opening up the many dump files, they point to bad programming hooks that are being pointed to AMD's FSR, not NVidia's. Sounds like this should have been an easy thing to notice and fix a while ago.
And the forums won't let me add my dump files. Seems rather odd to limit something like that.
I forgot to add, but I don't think it's relative.
Core i9 14900K, 64GB DDR5 6800 RAM, RTX 4090, 3Gb Fiber Internet, wired connection, Windows 11 Pro. All drivers updated. Verified Steam files. And obviously since it's been going on for days, restarted the computer many times.
EDIT: Since the update today it no longer crashes when I try to enable DLSS. But I still get the red 'greyscale'. Not just in the menu, but in the game, too.
