Freezing, black screen, and game driver removal

After playing the game for about two minutes, clicking through various tabs, and entering a match (if you have time), the game simply turns off your monitor. If you don't have time to turn off your PC, it deletes your  GPU drivers and reboots the system with empty default drivers. Is everything OK with your EA?

Windows 10

AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-Core Processor - RAM: 31 Гбайт

AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT - VRAM: 16 Гбайт version driver: 26.5.2

Thanks for confirming.  It seems that same behavior is happening with AMD and Nvidia cards.

also getting this in the last couple of days.  GeForce 4070ti.  Am able to play 1 or 2 games then monitors turn off and can hear the sound in the background.  Cant do anything with pc unless I turn it off.

  • Same issue with same CPU/GPU.

Ive reverted my GPU drivers back to 26.2.2 from Feb 2026 and it seems to be more stable.

In device manager its showing that Microsoft basic display adapter is not working. I am assuming this has to do with my iGPU but the 26.2.2 build seems to have the least amount of issues currently.

My system would hard crash and lock up and the GPU would disconnect (my monitor would show no connection). I would have to power cycle the comp and then my drivers would be corrupted and I would have to do a clean install (sometimes that didnt even work)

With 26.2.2 any crashes would be just to the desktop and my drivers were fine. I could get right back into the game.

I would say give them a try and see how they work for you.
