I'm not sure but I think the net code is more related to hit reg in terms of players shooting your lag. In the cases where you are absolutely past the corner or ducked behind cover, you still get shot because of the delay in the response. Ping doesn't seem to make a difference, since I usually get 12ms or less.
I'm closing in on level 500 and I have elite badges in 90% of the weapons.
You're absolutely right to complain about the hit reg. When they first released the season 2 update, hit reg was great, then before that first weekend only a few days after release, they released 2 more updates which seemed to affect the hit reg that nerfed accuracy and and brought it back to early season 1 hit reg. (ie 3-4 ghost bullets). Theres alot of bugs and glitches in this game, ie, your shots won't hit if you're on top of debris, the character "sticks" to walls/objects when you try to run and/or get shot. They need to stop messing around with the slide distance as well and focus on whats causing players to leave. Stop making changes no one asked for.
Whoever is making these decisions, needs to be fired immediately. This is the biggest complaint amongst all of the people I play with, most of who are 200+ level. One of the major issues I have, which might be related to the hit reg, people seem to be exploiting a glitch where if you jump while being shot at, the hits wont register.
I purchased the battle pass (which I regret), and I'm not buying anything unless they fix the hit reg and net code. They seem to want to make this game very camp (tactical is the word they'd use) happy and whine about "realism". The game looks great but its definitely not going for "realism".
Realistic = defibrillator is used to treat gunshot wounds?
