My brother and I are unable to consistently join the same match when playing Battlefield 6 together. After creating a party and starting a game, only one of us successfully joins the match while the other remains in the lobby screen (character standing idle).
We are both playing from the same household on the same internet connection. There doesn’t appear to be a consistent pattern as to which player connects successfully — sometimes one of us gets in, sometimes the other.
Occasionally, we have been able to play a match together if one player stays in the lobby and joins the other’s session after matchmaking begins, but this only works sporadically.
Troubleshooting Performed:
Verified both systems have Open NAT
Enabled and disabled UPnP for testing
Manually forwarded all required ports
Split port forwarding between the two PCs
Checked for Double NAT (none detected)
Despite these steps, the issue persists.
Having the same problem with all PC players not in the same household. This evening it happens to the guy playing through the EA App, Myself and the other guy where playing trough Steam. When the next map starts (conquest) he gets dropped from the squad but he is still in the party on the home menu.
This happend during the beta but also still now in full release. So it might be a crossplay issue? Atleast if the EA app is a different platform than Steam.
Right now we just quit to main menu every match and requeue for a new match.
