The easiest way to test if the home router is the issue. Plug the console or PC directly into the internet modem with an ethernet cable and then power cycle the modem. This way you're completely bypassing the home router.
If you're able to connect to BF6 game servers then you know it's the home router causing the issue. If you're still unable to connect then the home ISP is causing the issue.
Sometimes it's not possible to connect directly to the internet modem. In that case, log into the home router and put the console or PC in the router's demilitarized zone (DMZ). Anything in the DMZ bypasses the router's firewall.
