Exactly the same problem.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
- Changed DNS addresses in the console settings
- Got a static IP address from my ISP
- Checked the NAT type (I have Type 2 — I’ve heard it won’t work with Type 3)
- Spent about 3 hours tweaking router settings with ChatGPT
- Countless console and router reboots
- Connected the console to mobile internet
None of this helped — the problem is still there.
I’m also having the same issue connecting to BF2042, while BFV works fine.

- Gamertag / Username: Ektomorphine
- Timestamp last two days
- Region Russia
- Internet Service Provider (ISP) dom.ru
- Connection type wifi
- Game Mode /Map: every mode, every map
- Steps to reproduce Run a game -> in connects to EA -> main menu -> choose a mode or server -> 5-10 seconds -> black screen with "BATTLEFIELD" logo - back to main menu.
