Radeon 9060 XT "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG" Issue Thread

I've been experiencing this issue since install; intermittently, (sometimes hours between) the game will freeze, black screen, audio will cut out then the system delivers a DirectX Error. The crashes occur in multiplayer no apparent pattern.

DirectX function "m_submitFencePlat->GetCompletedValue()" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED ("The video card has been physically removed from the system, or a driver upgrade for the video card has occurred. "). GPU: "AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT, Driver: 25.10.30 (25.10.30-250902a-419752C-AIB). D:\dev\TnT\Code\Packages\RenderCore2\RenderCore2\dev\so urce\platform\Dx12\SubmissionManagerDx12.cpp. This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing; try installing the latest drivers. DeviceRemoved Reason: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG ("The GPU will not respond to more commands").

There have been multiple suggestions made online, undervolting the GPU, enabling 4G decoding and rebar in BIOS, lowering MESH quality and graphics settings overall, ensuring FSR is turned off, drivers up-to-date, high-performance mode, verifying the game files, clean installing etc. etc. None of these seem to have resolved the problem. Event viewer displays no apparent associated error.

Specs and DxDiag are attached.

the latest driver crashes.. use version 25.0.1. google search "AMD SOFTWARE: ADRENALINE EDITION 25.0.1 BATTLEFIELD 6 PREVIEW DRIVER RELEASE NOTES" to find the info. after install, turn off all upscaling and frame gen settings and run the game in native 4k high settings :) game on

  • Reporting this exact same issue as well

Asus dual fan 9060 XT 16 Gb on the latest  AMD driver as the date of this post.

    AMD Ryzen 5 9600X 6-Core Processor (3.90 GHz)

    32GB RAM

  • Also experiencing this exact same issue intermittently. My build is brand new so I assumed it had something to do with BIOS/drivers/voltage but this thread is suggesting it may be a client issue. Was anyone able to find a permanent solution?

    Ryzen 5 7600X

    RX 9060XT 16GB

    What is your motherboard chipset?

Are you overclocking ? (Ram or/and gpu)?

I’ve resorted to resetting the cache in the adrenaline software before playing which usually gives me 2-3 hours gameplay before any direct x crashes but it’s all a bit of guesswork as everyone’s rig is different
