Severe Hit Reg, Netcode, and Ping Problems Since Latest Patch

Hit Registration Issues
Since the November 18 update, hit registration has felt significantly worse. I’m frequently landing multiple confirmed headshots—two headshots dealing 62 damage each (124 total)—yet the enemy survives and turns to kill me almost instantly. Overall, gameplay feels off: I’m seeing plenty of hitmarkers, but it seems like only around 40% are actually registering as damage.

Netcode Problems
Post-update, I’ve been dying behind cover or through walls far more often than before. These deaths feel instantaneous, even from weapons that should deal relatively low close-quarters damage (e.g., the MP7 at 16 damage).

Ping / Latency Degradation
Since the same update, my ping has noticeably worsened. I’m on a high-speed fibre connection (1Gb down / 600Mb up), hard-wired via CAT6 to an ASUS TUF-AX6000. My ping has gone from a stable 20ms to fluctuating between 38–60ms.

Matchmaking Times
Matchmaking has also taken a huge hit. During peak hours, Conquest queues are taking 2–4 minutes, which is extremely unusual.

DICE, please fix

Additional Concern: Cheating
Please also look into the companies openly selling cheats on platforms like YouTube and TikTok. Cheating is becoming increasingly blatant and is having a noticeable impact on gameplay.

I think I may have identified part of the problem here.

Did anything change in the most recent patch/last week or so when it comes to region detection & server assignments? I decided to manually search for North American servers using the server browser & when I joined one of those, the game ran pretty flawlessly. I'm playing through Steam on PC. When I queue using the main menu buttons rather than the server browser, performance can be quite a lot worse.

I'm seeing the same here. Game ran just fine before the newest patch. After the patch, some larger games & maps, like Eastwood, have started having serious rubberbanding issues, even if my ping ingame is normal. I've cleared my shader cache, reinstalled the game, flushed DNS, etc. & there's no improvement at all. Really putting a damper on the game, which was working great up until this patch released.

Not any better on Xbox. They seem to only fix it for pc players. I’m so used to seeing my latency symbol I might get worried if it ever goes away

  • Game is borderline unplayable on PS5. I already had issues with it prior but after the update its way worse. I have great internet too, I average like 13 ping but I have ZERO time to react and just get instadropped or killed after I get behind cover and this is made worse because you can barely even see enemy soldiers. The new map makes this issue very obvious. Ill shoot an enemy with a tank and not get any hits until half a second to a full second later.
