Update = Reset of everything!

Why after every major update must I reset everything?  The season 1 update wiped out all the settings and now the update for season 2 has done the same.  I got 3 or 4 games in for season 2 before the game crashed and when I reloaded the game it started up like I had just installed it with every setting reset to default!  Do you realize how absolutely annoying that is?  It takes me hours to get everything set back to the way I had it!  Updates shouldn’t reset our settings!!!
