I purchased the phantom upgrade to be able to play multiplayer but i cant download the file for multiplayer

You don't mention where you bought the game. The refund policy sometimes differs. Here are instructions for requesting a refund if you purchased from EA. Notice you need to be under a certain amount of gametime.
