battlefield 4 you have lost connection to the session (2025)

Why is EA still selling this game for $30 when all you can essentially play is the campaign now? This game was thriving a year ago, 8k players constantly, which is amazing for an old game like this, but now it's ruined. there is currently 800 players on steam as i write this and they could very well be playing the campaign. it's impossible for me to join a server, i just wanted to play one of my favorite games, and now i found it might be gone forever, thanks EA you guys really know how to keep a property going.
