Ping/Latency/Server

Since the console and PlayStation servers were shut down, some of us PC players have started experiencing lag, and many have seen their ping spike. While players living in continental America or Europe have actually gained a better connection, my ping has reached 220–270ms, making the game feel like hell to play. Previously, it sat around 189–195ms, which was perfectly playable.

We have been managing, playing on, and helping players to run those two AE51 servers. People also occasionally play on the [FREE] server too (check attachment). It is incredibly frustrating how we are being treated after all our effort.

Is this issue directly related to the server shutdown, or is it caused by something else? Could you please look into fixing the Battlefield: Hardline servers for PC players, especially since many console and Xbox players are now migrating over to PC?

Currently, this game only has fanmade ranked servers. There are many Asian players keeping this game alive, including me. Please fix this server routing issue; otherwise, we will be forced to deal with this severe ping problem all the time.

danisoff Hello! The servers were actually crashed that day but it’s normal now. Everything is back to its previous state, and we even had to restart our AE51 servers too. The situation is normal again. I also tested my ping and internet connection before submitting my thread here, it was alright.

  • Hello ArmstyD,

You should check your internet connectivity and see if everything is working correctly. The mentioned issue has nothing to do with the server shutdown, they are simply in no correlation.
