Server moderators have been removed in BF1?!

We noticed yesterday night that we can no longer kick/ban/move players on our rented server.
Other communities have also confirmed that the moderator and VIP list is completely gone from the server menu.

Please fix this bug as soon as possible because letting communities pay for just the name would be unacceptable. We have gathered 70K+ favorites over the years for a reason. People like to play on a server without cheaters and without racism. People that help pay for the server also have a VIP slot so that they don't have to wait int he queue.

  • The issue has been resolved. All in-game features are working again. Multiple communities have confirmed this.

Nothing stops toxicity better than community. I wish that you guys at EA could see that.

    Here's my honest opinion.

I mean, BF1 is a very old game, which means DICE no longer supports updating the game anymore. They have moved on to newer titles like BF2042 and BF6. You can't expect old games to always remain popular. Sure, some games have an active player base, but they're still experiencing some bugs and unread feedback from other players.

So, if you're disappointed that things like these happen, then the truth is: We can't do anything about it except use mods to fix it, although the Javelin anti-cheat won't allow it. You might be thinking that I'm being inconsiderate for saying this, but I've played this game since 2018. I know that good times aren't meant to last long, including playing a video game.

    What should we do now?

All we can do is enjoy our last moments playing BF1 and accept the harsh reality that it won't and never will be updated to fix all of the bugs we face. I'm sorry, but that's how life is. It's not fair, but it doesn't care about our feelings.

Or you can stop playing it altogether if you think it's ruined enough, unless it doesn't stop you from playing BF1. Everyone can make their own decisions whether they want to stay or leave.

So, yeah that's all I have to say about this post. I'm just being honest and sharing my perspective with everyone. Have a good day.

I would agree with you buy people are still paying money for the servers.

  • Community-run servers are a key reason Battlefield 1 is still active today. I personally would not play Battlefield if there were no moderation against cheaters and rude players, as they destroy the experience even in an otherwise great game.

Proper moderation tools, including moderator and VIP lists, are essential to prevent cheating, racism, and disruptive behavior. The age of the game should not be an argument here — these features have worked reliably for years, so there is no reason they should suddenly stop working now. Many players support and finance servers specifically because they offer a fair, well-moderated environment.

This issue needs to be fixed as soon as possible.

  • I'm sure the issue resolved itself. EA Games didn't even lift a finger to fix it. Instead of dropping the subject, we need to show them how serious this is. For example, the trade system still isn't refreshing. Since some consider this a minor issue, it wasn't made into a big deal. However, fearing harm to our community, we all panicked and flooded the forums. If EA did this today, they could do it again suddenly tomorrow. We must maintain our serious stance on this matter.
