Before I Buy 2026 - A few Questions
First I primarily play alone in Dynasty Mode so assume that's what I'm talking about. I have always done the classic passing as it is difficult to unlearn decades of game play. While I know that EA quit designing games for me 20+ years ago I'd like someone to convince me this is worth the purchase by answering a few questions.
Do games still feel scripted or has it changed so that I feel my decisions and playcalls are actually influencing the outcome?
Does the QB continue to throw low and behind no matter what I do to lead the pass?
Does the AI controlled defenders still execute spiderman like feats of agility to block a pass?
When run blocking do FBs and pulling guards still dodge linebackers so they can run downfield and hit the CB?
Does the AI routinely cheat on defensive playcalls, you know the formation where I have ran outside five times in a row but now on my FB dive the DL comes in all pinched up?
Is the AI team unstoppable in 2 minute offense? I will literally kneel 3 times in a row and take a FG rather than see the 78 yard 2 play drive for a TD with 24 seconds left on the clock.
Can I actually play defense or is it so aggravating that I want to chew aluminum foil?
When simulating Defense, since playing it is unbearable, do defenders still become ridiculously fatigued?
Do human controlled receivers have a 3 to 1 catch/Drop ratio? Actual NCAA stats put an average receiver at slightly better than 8 to 1 but good luck pulling that off in any Dynasty.
Has the interceptions been fixed? Will I set the slider to minimum and still throw 3 INTs in a game to receivers that are open because my QB will not lead them?
Do new recruits still have ridiculous names, like the extraordinary amount of Blonde Polynesians I've recruited out of Kentucky?
Have you fixed announcers ability to say names? Example I change the name of my Blonde kid from Lexington from Latu Fuamatula to Brian Walker, will it now actually say caught by Walker?
Is there still a level 50 Cap on my Coach?
Has any additional realism been added to make it feel like I'm coaching a college team?
Will my All American LT still step backwards and watch as a DE sacks my QB without even touching him?
Will I always have more penalties than an AI opponent just to even the game or is it actually based on anything tangible?
Can we edit plays? I know this is impossible technology lost to the ancient designers from 2004 but I was hoping somehow we had found some stone tablet with code on it.
Is there any attempt to make this a sports simulation or is it still a cash grab app?
