It be cool to pass block with anyone instead of flat route

Some formations receivers are close enough to pass block hot route and you have to flat route them. Years before in NCAA 12 it didn't matter where the receiver was or how far he was from the tackle you could pass block him. Consider this, as everything is basically a spread in college and formations are mostly shotgun.
