One other suggestion/idea that ties into coaching and recruiting points... Given that there is now effectively a real life NIL cap, maybe each school just has a core pot of points used for everything - hiring coaches, recruiting players, "updating" facilities, etc. Bigger schools like Texas obviously have more points (let's say 100,000) for a whole season and small schools like UL Monroe have 15,000. You could earn more points as a small school by scheduling big schools, going to bowl games, etc. like you would in real life. Scheduling small schools as a big school like Texas would actually cost you points, coaches at that level would cost more to poach or retain, etc. Points could accrue season over season for larger upgrades down the line... new stadium, new uniforms, conference invite pitch, campus upgrade, better coaches, etc. Additional points could be earned via better attendance (tied to stadium atmosphere ranking) or merch sales (tied to brand awareness ranking). All in all, acting sort of like a General Manager approach (Athletic Director) which has been outlined in other forums before.
I’m playing currently with Toledo. I would love for performance to effect me being able to expand or make a new stadium. Some teams are limited in certain categories because of this.
