Transfer Portal Broken due to Dealbreakers?

Dealbreakers are poorly thought and poorly implemented.  And it appears they are causing serious issues with the Transfer Portal.  At the end of the portal period, if you go back in and look at where players signed, you will find 4 & 3 star players - even top 100 players - who NEVER sign anywhere.  They also don't go back to their orignal team.  They just disappear from the game.
