EA rules fix, officiating, reviewing
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to express serious concerns with the current state of online gameplay and officiating mechanics in your football game. As a long-time player, the lack of realism and consistency in penalties and challenges has made online play increasingly frustrating and unfair.
There are repeated situations where defenders cut across the field and impede routes with no flag being called, directly leading to interceptions and game-deciding outcomes. In real football, this would result in clear penalties such as defensive holding or pass interference, yet these calls are either nonexistent or extremely one-sided during online matches.
Additionally, the challenge system feels fundamentally broken. Legitimate plays that should be reviewed are routinely rejected, even when video evidence clearly shows missed calls or incorrect rulings. Challenges should be accepted more often and reviewed with greater accuracy to reflect how the game operates at the professional level.
What is most frustrating is the apparent imbalance in officiating. Penalties such as holding and pass interference are consistently called in favor of opponents, while identical or worse actions against my team go unpenalized. This creates a strong sense that outcomes are being influenced by flawed mechanics rather than player skill.
If the goal is realism and competitive integrity, then officiating, penalties, and challenges must be addressed. Football is a game of rules, and when those rules are inconsistently enforced, it takes away from both the enjoyment and fairness of online competition.
I hope these issues are taken seriously and considered in future updates, as they significantly impact the quality and credibility of online play.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
