Tennessee Authenticity Tracker: Neyland & More (10/1)

First and foremost Great Job on College Football 27! The inclusion of the "I will give my all for Tennessee today" sign in the default entrance is fantastic thank you for that update!

I would like to also point out a few specific details to further improve the authenticity of Neyland Stadium. As it currently stands, the stadium model is about 1–2 years behind real-world renovations.

Visual & Structural Updates and issues:

West Press Box/Skybox Branding: The West press box (above the T) needs to be updated to include the new "Home of the Vols" signage alongside the Pilot branding. These are now integrated features that define the look of the West side. This debuted August 31, 2024

Vomitories (Fan Tunnels): The fan tunnels have been updated in real life to feature the red brick aesthetic seen throughout the rest of the stadium. Adding this texture would significantly improve the ground-level realism. This was done in 2 phases, 2023 was the first phase and 2024 was the 2nd phase so the stadium in game is outdated by a few years. Predates even the return of the franchise.

Below is a LED board that is positioned too low it should be on the brick portion not the gate.

There is also another LED board which is sitting in the ground you can only see the top portion of it on the visitor sideline on both 20 yard lines along the brick wall. (Can provide video if needed).

Atmosphere:

Audio Balance: The "Rocky Top" stadium audio seems quieter this year compared to previous versions. It would be great to see the intensity and volume of this track increased to match the real-world experience.

Lighting/Shadow Glitches:

3:30 PM Kick: Entering the 2nd quarter, the shadows become unusually, unnaturally dark. This eventually corrects itself at the start of the 4th quarter.

6:00 PM Kick: A similar shadow glitch occurs at the start of the 2nd quarter. (Notice how dark the stands are)

Post 10/1 update on this: they seem to have adjusted it and it is A LOT better but still occurs slightly just at different times now but much improved thank you EA!

Notice the new brickwork on the vomitories below (fan tunnels)

Home of the Vols part of the Pilot Branding.

End zone padding is completely missing in the current build here's what it should be. (The gray)

Why this matters: Not only is Neyland one of the most historic venues in all of sports, it's a staple of the SEC so when renovations dating back a couple of years aren't represented it affects immersion, Sure you all did add the Pilot branding to the field which is great! But also missed adding the same Pilot branding to the pressbox with "Home Of The Vols". I'm aware some of this could be lack of assets being given from Tennessee but have we reached out to try and get those? I feel that's a relevant question given the length of time it has been part of the real world stadium. When you have stadiums like Ohio State who has their new suites installed already represented in the game it makes you wonder. I appreciate the work put in and I'm hoping this feedback helps!

Thank you and Go Vols!

Edit: Updated the feedback to reflect the latest 10/1 patch. Hoping Tennessee gets the same treatment as other premier colleges, the lack of attention to detail is concerning. I know alot of work gets put into making these games so I do appreciate it. The goal post you have shown can be updated (before it was a Nike logo above the VOLS letters) now it is just a orange pad with a adidas logo on top. It should have no branding and simple just VOLS on it see posts below.

  • I have also noticed that the capacity is wrong for Neyland in game it is currently listed at 102,455 this is the old capacity before renovations it is currently 101,915 this needs updated for authenticity. Source utsports

(Edit: 10/1 update did not address this)

If EA is having trouble finding where this is displayed it's a PIP in the play call screen.

  • The Neyland stadium Goal post padding NOW has the updated Adidas Logo. But is now missing the VOLS lettering.

The picture below is what it should look like.

The goal post is currently mostly blank now only has a Adidas logo. (In CFB27)

(Still missing the Vols letters post update 10/1)

  • He should have a coaching wrist band on his left arm, no flak jacket and ONLY a backplate.

    10/1 did not address this.

    Fazion Brandon.

  • Tennessee's football helmet has had some adjustments.

    Still inaccurate in game.

  • Below are the missing recruits added this year, I'm aware that with NIL and opt-outs that can make these things difficult but hopefully we can get a few more of these added if not all. Go Vols!

Joel Wyatt ATH, Carter Gooden DL, Brayden Rouse LB, Zay Anderson CB, Tyreek King WR, Hezekiah Harris Edge, Cj Edwards Edge, Javonte Smith CB, Jowell Combay CB, JJ Finch DL, Luke Thompson S, Damian Theodore CB, Luca Wolf TE, Will Rajecki RB, Jacolby Cooper WR, Nuk Simmons DL, Thomas Storm OT

Thanks for making this thread and including photos. I just came to provide feedback about the helmet inaccuracies and saw that you’ve already included it. Go VOLS!

Go Vols! Feel free to add anything I may have missed!

  • George MacIntyre: Uniform set up should be corrected to this based off last game. Everything i mention is in game just needs adjusted.

Right wrist: Wrist Band Normal Team Color

Left wrist: Wrist Band Coach Team Color (not the opened it looks weird in my opinion).

    Towel: South

    No hand warmer

    No spats

    Compression Pants
